Camden Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Forum
Survey of Needs
The Camden LGBT Forum is currently conducting research into the needs of the LGBT communities who live, work and socialise within the borough, how best these needs can be addressed and how current service provision can be modified to make services more accessible to the communities.
We are addressing a wide range of issues covering community safety, housing, health, education, leisure and entertainment, provision of community facilities - in short, all areas of everyday life in the borough.
In particular, Camden Council have asked us to look at how groups become "socially excluded" and to what degree the LGBT communities feel this exclusion and then to work with the council to combat this. The Council acknowledges that within the LGBT communities there are people who will be more at risk of social exclusion because, for example, they are older or younger citizens, they are homeless, they have mental health problems or learning difficulties, they are from a BME community or they are asylum seekers or refugees.
